Adonis Originals has always been conscious of its environment and strove to create better products. Today the brand is revealing its new pair of shoes: The Ray One.

Built from recycled plastic and beach junks, this pair of shoes is a tech master piece. In 2017, the Adonis Originals NPD (New Product Department) start to work on this project, and developed new technologies to transform plastic into nice, light and pleasant fabric. This process today known under the patent EP1447196A1, is the basis of The Ray One.  Thought to be respectful of the environment, The Ray One components have been tested and approved by many certification companies. Today this fabric follows the International standard ISO 14021 and the Ray One is 100% recyclable.

Designed for sport lovers and urban citizens, the Ray One delivers responsiveness and traction for any directional move. Two layers of recycled material are fused together to produce a nearly seamless upper. The quality of this shoe makes it durable. To ensure its environment friendliness, reduce carbon dioxide emissions and keep it social, the Ray One is 100% made in Spain. To ensure this made in Spain characteristic, we created the MIS (Made In Spain) label. You’ll find this label on our packaging and on the sole.

The Ray One is a real good product for the 21st century sportsmen who believes in their power to change the future. The Ray One is adapted to an urban everyday use, but it also fits with the need of people who like to go to the gym.  

Inspired by the dark color of natural rays and the multiple species that we cope to help, we develop a unique modern design. The white sole also symbolizes the endangered species such as white bears and royal white tigers.

But Adonis Originals also offers its help to non-governmental environmental associations mike Greenpeace. For every Ray One pair of shoes bought, Adonis Original will give 10$ to the association. These funds will then be used to protect species and finance ocean cleaning projects.

Adonis Originals wants to be a pioneer in this initiative. Here is one other project where Adonis is contributing:

The Ocean Clean-up

Adonis Originals met The Ocean Clean-Up’s CEO Boyan Slat, a charismatic Dutch leader from the Silicon Valley who founded the company. Among the 40 Million dollars raised through fundraising, 3 million come from this partnership between the two companies.

Bruno Sainte-Rose, a French engineer and doctor in fluid mechanics, developed a technology capable of capturing garbage in the ocean thanks to a large net and a kilometer-long carbon tube. This system invented in 2016 has many advantages; First, the net doesn’t catch fishes and protect the natural life. Then 97% of the garbage from the ocean could be catch in this net. Finally, toxic seaweeds found all over the planet could also be removed thanks to this technology.

Therefore, Adonis Original believes in the future, bets on these wonderful actions.

Adonis new collaboration

We are pleased to announce our new long-term partnership with Stella McCartney and to present you our very new line: The Adonis by Stella McCartney sport performance collection. For the first time, a high-end fashion designer has created a functional sport performance range for woman! It will offer them something they could work out in and still feel good about the way they look. It is a unique combination of fashion and sportswear. We have designed a collection of sportswear across a wide range of disciplines including running, yoga, tennis, swim etc. The goal of our line is to satisfy and fulfill the needs of every woman. They will now finally be able to feel good, pretty and powerful in every circumstances.

Stella McCartney really wanted to change sports clothing for women. She though the colors were very basic, and there were no variations in the design. She saw a real opportunity to give women the chance to feel good while practicing. She inspired herself by real woman, naturally sexy modern women. She tried to get into the heads of all those women and to figure out what they really needed. This is how she managed to create stylish clothes without scarifying style for your sport. Innovative and functional, Adonis by Stella McCartney brings together the best of fitness and fashion. The label’s active wear collection features contoured seams and breathable fabrics for optimum functionality. It is the only collaboration between fashion and sport that truly targets the high performance arena.

As well as being functional, Adonis by Stella McCartney follows the same code of ethics and modern ethos as all our Adonis collections. As part of Adonis by Stella McCartney’s mission to protect the oceans, products were created from more than 40% recycled content, with Parley Ocean Plastic fiber. Products are made with sustainable materials like organic cotton and recycled yarn. It is very important for us that our actions do not have negative effects on the environment.
Adonis and Stella McCartney companies have both appointed a designated team to work together on this project. We have worked really hard to offer to all women a unique collection. We are proud to say that our collaboration is a long-term one and plans are to cover even more sport performance areas in the future. Our very first collection will hit retail in May 2019 and will be available in high-end department stores in the U.S, as well as 18 Adonis Sport Performance Center stores in Europe.

Adonis supports esport team Fnatic in the League of Legends competition !

Adonis is proud to announce you its new partnership with the esport team Fnatic.

A lot of non-gaming related companies signing sponsorship deals with esport team is a common event currently. Through this partnership, we want to show our willpower to support e-sports team.

Esport is a new flourishing industry with a lot of opportunities to promote our brand.

Furthermore, this partnership is a win-win strategy between two entities. Indeed, we will send to the team special invitations for our events and they will show our brand on social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Earlier this year, the e-sport team Edward Gaming signed a partnership with Nike enabling the sport brand to be the first on this new market. It shows that Adonis isn’t the only sportswear brand with an interest in esports.

But why do we invest on esport market?

For 10 years, the esport market has increased; the enthusiasm of spectators, players and societies keeps growing more and more. Some research institutes forecast a growth of the audience by 10% between 2018 and 2020. Every year, hundreds of competitions take place all over the world, particularly in United States and in Asia. In addition, the esport market is a real market with young targets with a strong purchasing power. So it is completely normal to invest in this one and to sponsor professional esport teams.

Recently, Riot Games and his game League of Legends announced the next League of Legends World Championship will take place in Europe in 2019 and Finals will take place at AccorsHotel Arena in Paris, France.

Furthermore, advertisement and sponsoring are first sources of revenues for this market. Indeed, videogames and electronics brands like Intel, Asus, Alienware, Micromania and in France, brands like EDF and Volvic sponsor professional esport teams.

This is why Adonis couldn’t miss the point completely.

We believe, as Adonis, we should invest in esport for the long term.

To keep having a head start on this market, we will establish a true esport strategy and build it for the long term. This partnership with Fnatic allows us to benefit strong values of innovation and associated technology to the videogame market.

If logical image and visibility to young people is obvious, then the challenge of a partnership like this will be to convert it to a commercial point of view. This is due to the fact that big Europeans clubs on the esport teams market a lot of derivative products.

Ultimately, with the accession of broadcasts (streaming, TV) of tournaments, players become icons and models for future generations. Maybe the future Cristiano Ronaldo will be a videogame player because money is more and more present in esport. That is why we believe in our investment.

The birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, spring is finally here! And we know what is like not knowing when exactly it is time to put the coats and boots away, but don’t worry, after reading this article you will be able to make a smooth transition from winter to spring in no time.

First of all, let’s talk about what is trending, as spring arrives so does the floral prints, flowy dresses and lightweight outerwear, but to change from season to season can be hard because buying 10 outfits in a day is not a luxury many of us can afford, so to complete your everyday look, here are the 5 key pieces that you can combine with basics, guaranteed to keep you runway-ready all spring:

  1. COLORFUL EVERYTHING!

In dresses, sweaters and jackets, bright colors are in. The neon trend that invaded our wardrobes last winter has transformed into a full spectrum of color and now wearing the rainbow is the fashion statement of the moment.

The origins of Adonis

We started in Barcelona, in a small room, and now we want to conquer on a global level. Score big and reach our goals. We will do our best, for the best.

Looking ahead to the future, always remembering where we came from.

We all know that every story has a beginning, well…

This is our story. This is Adonis Originals.

Our story starts in Spain, in the second biggest city called Barcelona. We registered the names ‘’Adonis’’ and ‘’Adonis Originals’’ in 2019 and are currently commencing on our mission to provide everyone with specialized sports products and designed manufactures shoes, clothing and accessories.

Adonis Originals: the story of its name

Adonis was the mortal lover of the goddess Aphrodite in Greek mythology. Adonis was a fearless hunter, often reckless while he hunted.

It was impossible to allow the goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, to leave the earth and go to the underworld, but Zeus could not resist hearing her plead. He therefore decided that Adonis would be recalled from the underworld so that Aphrodite could have him with him again. But Hades had control over Adonis, because the underworld was his empire and he refused to let him go. After a lengthy discussion between Zeus and Hades, an arrangement was made. Adonis was allowed to spend half of the year on earth and had to return to the Elysium for the other half.

At the beginning of the spring, Adonis left the underworld and as soon as he could he went to his beloved Aphrodite. Everywhere he placed his footsteps, the flowers blossomed and the birds began to whistle to show how happy they were with his arrival. Thus, Adonis became the symbol of (plants) growth, which rise from the soil every spring and covers the earth with beautiful leaves and flowers.

What do we, as Adonis Originals, believe in?

People all have their own goals and dreams that they would like to achieve. We acknowledge the desire that one is unique and that, in addition to living their day-to-day life, people want to pursue their dreams. We believe that everyone is gifted with talent and potential. We want people to pursue their dreams, their creativity and to build their careers, whether they are amateurs or professional athletes.

We dream big and think everyone is unique, a winner, so to say; this is why we created the slogan:

We think differently; global discussions on (gender) discrimination, bad payments and on climate change have arisen. This affects our industry negatively. We are here to change that.

We work together with different influencers, with big names, but we also make sure that we are present at different global discussion events. We create clothing and accessories that help our environment, instead of damaging the nature. Our team exists of different cultures around the world. Diversity, Confidence, Teamwork and Creativity are our key elements.

We acknowledge that the well-being and performance of our staff and our customers’ needs are essential and have a great impact on our brand image and our consumers’ satisfaction. We work together with a diverse cultural staff, our employees and partners are active on the Dutch/Belgian, French and Latin-oriented countries to enable full knowledge on the global market.
